Today was the 1st fishing day for the 20th Annual HVOO Tournament. 21 boats signed up to fish. There were 3 Blue Marlin, 3 White Marlin and 1 Sailfish released. Please visit

Boats not fishing in the tournament had catches of gaffer size Dolphin and a few Blackfin Tuna. Good Times released 2 White Marlin

Inshore boats had excellent catches of Cobia

Good weather continues to hold. We had nice groups of gaffer size Dolphin lining up on the docks this afternoon. There were a few Wahoo and Blackfin Tuna caught as well. Godspeed released a Blue Marlin and Release released a White Marlin. Good Cobia fishing today with some 60+lbs on the line. Gray Trout and Flounder were also being caught in the Sound. Wishing Tight Lines and Fair Seas to the HVOO anglers.

Release: Zach Brucher of Hunlock Creek, PA released a White Marlin.

Weather was warm and humid with light to medium winds. The sound was very calm this afternoon. Good Gaffer Dolphin fishing today with a few Blackfin Tuna and Wahoo. Inshore boats were catching Cobia in the 20-40lb range. Lots were seen as well so the bite will be on. Make-ups forming up for the week don't miss your slot. Offshore: Boats had real good gaffer Dolphin catches again today. Few Tuna, Yellowfin and Blackfin were also caught.

Inshore: Anglers on the Sound caught limits of Cobia and saw plenty more!

Boats that fished offshore today brought back excellent catches of Dolphin (gaffer size). A few Blackfin Tuna were caught as well as scattered Wahoo.

Offshore: Today’s charters had a little wind but a beautiful day! Anglers had great catches of gaffer dolphin. Yellowfin and Blackfin Tuna catches were scattered. One Blue Marlin and one White Marlin were released.

Inshore: Anglers fishing on the Sound caught Red Drum. Clamming trip had a nice harvest!

Boats enjoyed a great fishing day offshore, they had good catches of both gaffer size Dolphin, to the south and Blackfin Tuna to the east. There were also some Wahoo caught. Good Times released a Blue Marlin.

Inshore boats had another good day of Drum fishing in the sound and are waiting patiently for the Cobia to arrive.

What a beautiful day to be offshore! Boats unloaded good catches of Blackfin Tuna, Dolphin and some Wahoo. There were also some catches of bottom fish caught. There were also several billfish seen.

Inshore anglers experienced good clamming and an excellent Red Drum catch.

Offshore: Boats reported choppy conditions in the Gulf Stream today, but returned with catches of gaffer size Dolphin, Blackfin and Yellowfin Tuna and a few Wahoo.
