What a beautiful day to be on the water fishing! Inshore boats experienced good catches of Red Drum. Our inshore boats run morning trips and afternoon trips into Pamilico Sound and are perfect for folks not interested in a full day of fishing.

It was quite a contrast from yesterday's weather offshore. Northeast winds made for a nice, cool day on the Gulfstream. Anglers returned with very good catches of Dolphin (gaffers and bailers), scattered Wahoo, and scattered Blackfin Tuna. Bottom fish included Triggerfish, Tilefish, and Grouper. A Sailfish was released today.

Citations:

Chase Miller of Fairfax, VA: 11lb. 3oz. Tilefish on Bite Me.

John Rogers of Raleigh, NC: 30lb. Grouper on Release.

Jaime Andrews of Cary, NC: Sailfish release on Release.

Just a couple of inshore boats ventured out this morning, they battled some choppy waters but had a great time catching Red Drum. Rough seas kept all the big boats at the dock.

Rough ocean conditions also kept some beach goers off the beach and they came by to see us and do some shopping. We have lots of new gifts and t-shirts in. We also ship, so if you came by and forgot to get your new Hatteras Harbor t-shirt or you saw a great gift for someone or yourself, give us a call we can ship it to you. Remember Father's Day is in a couple of weeks, so send him fishing or get him a t-shirt, they both make great gifts.
