Excellent Dolphin fishing today with some Blackfin Tuna in the mix. Big Eye released a Sailfish and Hatteras Fever released a White Marlin. Inshore they were catching Flounder, Gray and Speckled Trout and Bluefish.

First day of the HVOO with 3 Billfish releases.

Overcast and rainy all day with warm temps and high humidity. No boats fished today. Tomorrow starts the Hatteras Village Offshore Open.

Offshore boats caught limits of dolphin! One sailfish was released.

Inshore boats had good catches of gray trout and bluefish. They caught few keeper flounder Cobia were seen!

Offshore boats had a good day of dolphin fishing with limits and gaffers! Wahoo and blackfin tuna catches were scattered.

Inshore boats caught some cobia.

WOW!! What an awesome day.  Offshore two sailfish and 1 white marlin were released. Lots and lots of mahi mahi (same as dolphin), mostly gaffer size were caught. Mixed in for more good eatin' was some wahoo and blackfin tuna.

Inshore reported catches of spanish mackerel.

What a nice day offshore, the boats had excellent catches of Dolphin, good wahoo catches and a few Blackfin Tuna were caught. Some boat that were bottom fishing caught Trigerfish and B-liners.

Inshore boats fishing in the sound had good catches of Gray Trout and a 46" Red Drum was released. Along the beach Spanish Mackerel catches were good and there were 3 cobia caught one weighed 30lbs.

What a beautiful afternoon after a little windy morning. The boat are returning with fair catches of gaffer size Dolphin, some Wahoo and Blackfin Tuna.

Inshore the boats fishing along the beach were catching Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish and Cobia. There were a couple released a one brought in weighing 75lbs. Just a predicted the Cobia are making a show around Mother's Day and usually last though Father's Day.

Great weather with some really excellent Dolphin and Wahoo fishing. Nice gaffer size dolphin and several citation weight Wahoo. Bite Me released a Spearfish and Release released a Sailfish.

Inshore boats had real good catches of Gray Trout, Speckled Trout, Bluefish and Sea Mullet in the sound.

Bite Me: John Dowward of Tuscaloosa, AL released a Spearfish. Nelson Sharp of Cropwell, AL caught a 36lb Dolphin. Elizabeth Claussen of Charleston, SC caught an 80lb Wahoo.

Release: Bruce Gambardella of Spring Valley, NY released a Sailfish.

Sundown: Josh Gutierrez of Elizabeth, PA released a 71lb Wahoo.

Several boats out today with great fishing results. There were good Dolphin caught as well as Wahoo and Blackfin Tuna. Hatteras Blue released a Sailfish and Hatteras Fever released a White Marlin.
