Offshore charters had beautiful weather on the Gulfstream today! Boats returned with good catches of Dolphin and Blackfin Tuna with a few Wahoo. Boats that bottom fished caught Grouper. The Sailfish bite is still going strong with 7 releases today!

Inshore anglers enjoyed great weather on the Sound as well! They caught some Red Drum and had 1 release. Clamming was good too!

One boat fished inshore this morning and had a blast catching and releasing Red Drum. Bluefish were caught around the inlet as well.

Near shore fishing included good Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish.

Offshore, the Billfish continue to bite! Four Sailfish were released today. Dolphin fishing included both gaffers and bailers. Blackfin Tuna fishing was good. Inshore anglers had a great time after locating a large school of Red Drum and catching a limit of Puppy Drum and releasing just as many large Drum. A few Speckled Trout were caught.

Near shore charters went out on the ocean side where the Bluefish were snapping. Spanish Mackerel fishing was good. The water near shore was nice blue water and provided anglers with a clear shot of the fish they were catching.

SW winds calmed down a bit throughout the day and provided offshore anglers with much calmer seas this afternoon.The Blackfin Tuna bite was good today. Dolphin was scattered and a few Wahoo were reported. Inshore fishing was slower than usual this morning. Red Drum fishing was fair and a few Speckled Trout were caught. This afternoon brought in catches of Speckled Trout, Gray Trout, Sea Mullet, and Spot. A nice cobia was caught as well.

SW winds did not keep anglers from venturing offshore. Six Sailfish were released today. Both gaffer and bailer Dolphin were caught. Blackfin Tuna fishing was fair and a few Wahoo made it into the fish box.

Red Drum fishing continues to be good in the waters of the Pamlico Sound. Limits of "keeper" Drum were caught and even more large Drum were released. Speckled Trout and Bluefish fishing were good today as well.

Near shore anglers caught Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish.

Despite choppy conditions this morning due to SW winds, several offshore boats went out. Four Sailfish were released. Dolphin catches were scattered and the Blackfin Tuna bite was scattered today.

Offshore boats stayed at the dock due to high winds. Inshore boats were catching Red Drum and releasing larger Red Drum. One of the biggest Red Drum we have ever seen was released today! Check out the pictures for more details. A few Bluefish were caught along with keeper Flounder. A few Cobia were seen but didn't bite.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!

Hope everyone is having a safe and happy fourth! A few boats out fishing in a hot breeze. They caught Dolphin in fair amounts with bailers and gaffers. Scattered Blackfin Tuna and bottom fish rounded out the offshore catch. Blue Marlin and Sailfish were released as well. Inshore Red Drum were snapping with a lot of large over slot size being caught and released as well as some Bluefish and Spanish Mackerel.

Inshore anglers that fished the Sound today had fun chasing and releasing some Red Drum! They also did a little clamming and harvested limits!

The Offshore fleet returned to the docks with fair catches of Dolphin and Blackfin Tuna, the Wahoo bite was scattered. Boats that bottom fished had excellent catches of Triggerfish, Grouper and Snapper. One White Marlin and four Sailfish were released!

Inshore anglers had a great time this morning releasing big Red Drum. Spanish Mackerel fishing was good inshore and near shore. This afternoon 10 citation Red Drum were released. Clamming was good as well.

Offshore 4 Sailfish were released. Dolphin fishing was fair to good. Some Blackfin Tuna were caught and Bottom fishing was good.

SW winds and rainy conditions created slow fishing this morning in the Pamlico Sound. This afternoon the Red Drum bite was on - lots of over-sized Drum were released and a handful of keeper Puppy Drum were landed.

A couple of boats ventured offshore this morning and returned by noon with SW winds and rough conditions. One boat returned with a limit of bailer Dolphin and the other with several gaffer Dolphin and a few Amberjack.

We're looking for good fishing conditions for the holiday weekend. Don't miss out!
