Weather was cool and the water was beautiful. Boats reported good Dolphin fishing with good sizes to them. Scattered Blackfin Tuna and Wahoo. A few Sailfish were caught and released as well. Inshore excellent Spanish Mackerel and Gray Trout, Bonita Mackerel and Bluefish.

Good Times: Joshua Shook of Elebron, VA caught a 22lb Grouper.

Hatteras Blue: Ricky Edwards of Norfolk, VA caught a 22lb Blackfin Tuna. Andrew Haines of Rockland, MA caught a 22lb Blackfin Tuna. Nicole Sault-Haines of Rockland, MA caught a 20lb Blackfin Tuna. Shannon Edwards of Norfolk, VA caught a 20lb Blackfin Tuna.

A little bit of a breeze on the Sound, inshore anglers were happy to report good catches of Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish. The Cobia bite was scattered, but they managed to catch a few.

Offshore Captains and crew report a beautiful day on the Gulfstream. They unloaded boxes full of gaffer Dolphins as the bite was excellent. Few Wahoo were caught while the Blackfin Tuna catches were scattered. One Sailfish was released!

Inshore fishing couldn't be better with abundant sunshine, excellent catches of Spanish Mackerel and Cobia, and good times with friends and family! There are lots of happy anglers hanging on the dock this afternoon.

Offshore, the Billfish bite is on! One Blue Marlin and several Sailfish were released today. Dolphin fishing was excellent and Blackfin Tuna were scattered. Check out the latest reports for the Hatteras Village Offshore Open on their facebook page. Overall the weather was good for the tournament and anglers experienced good Billfish catches and releases. Good going guys!!

Inshore anglers reported a good catch of Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish. Atlantic Bonita were caught as well. The Cobia bite was pretty good today. One group went clamming - they had a great time collecting sand dollars and clams!!

Anglers that went Wreck fishing caught Amberjack.

Offshore, the Billfish bite continues to delight anglers. Several Sailfish, one Blue Marlin, and one White Marlin were released. The Dolphin bite was good today and a few Blackfin Tuna made it into the fish box.

We are currently looking for 2 to 3 people to fill a make up trip for tomorrow

Inshore anglers continue to catch Cobia along with excellent catches of Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish. Inshore trips run in the morning and again in the afternoon for a hail day of fishing fun in the Pamlico Sound. 

It was a beautiful day to ride to the Gulf Stream for a full day of offshore fishing. Today the Dolphin bite was fair to good. There was scattered Blackfin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna and Wahoo. Three Sailfish were released.

Inshore anglers reported good catches of Spanish Mackerel today. The Bluefish bite was good and Atlantic Bonita were caught as well. Cobia fishing was very good.

Today is the first day of fishing for the Hatteras Village Offshore Open and the Billfish were biting. Check out the latest results on the HVOO facebook site. Several Blue Marlin, a Sailfish, and a Swordfish were released from our offshore fleet today. The meat fish bite fell out today from what has been caught previously this month. A few Dolphin were caught and the Blackfin Tuna bite was scattered.

Summer is in the air today! Boats were kicking it up on the dolphin with some boats returning early after getting all they wanted on Gaffers. Excellent Wahoo fishing with a few Blackfin Tuna around. Sea Creature released a Sailfish. Cobia were again being caught and seen. Nearshore Bluefish and a few Spanish Mackerel.

 Excellent Dolphin fishing today with a few Wahoo in the mix. Blackfin Tuna slowed some but still made a good showing. A private boat the Double B weighed in a 478lb Blue Marlin that was tail wrapped. Inshore the Cobia showed up and Bluefish were being caught. The Hatteras Village Offshore Open registration is May 10 with boats fishing 3 out 4 days May 11-14. Our webcam will be on the gallows if we have some fish being weighed in available at www.hatterasharbor.com. Our onsite deli is open Mon-Sat 5AM-3PM for early eats. Tightline: Russell Wallace of Providence, VA caught a 51lb Cobia.

Hatteras Blue: Daniel Marsee of Macomb, MI caught a 26lb Blackfin Tuna.

Inshore anglers had a tough time on the Sound today! They returned to the dock with a few Bluefish.

Boats that fished nearshore on the Ocean also caught Bluefish. Their catches were good and had some good size to them!

The offshore fleet had a bumpy ride this morning. By the time they reached the Gulfstream the seas calmed. They returned to the dock with more good catches of Dolphin (gaffers), some nice Blackfin Tuna and a few Wahoo. The Yellowfin Tuna bite was scattered.

Inshore anglers caught Bluefish and Gray Trout this morning. No one fished this afternoon.

The Billfish bite is picking up offshore. Today one Blue Marlin and several Sailfish were released. Dolphin fishing was good. Blackfin Tuna were biting again today. A few Yellowfin Tuna and Wahoo helped to fill the fish box. It was a beautiful day to be fishing with little to no wind for a change! Here's hoping that everyone has a wonderful, Happy Mother's Day!
