Wow, it's hard to believe September has arrived! Fishing was slower today than yesterday, however a good day on the water beats a day anywhere else. Inshore anglers returned with Puppy Drum this morning as well as this afternoon. Spanish Mackerel fishing near shore was red hot! Offshore anglers braved a choppy ocean this morning until the wind turned and made for slightly better conditions. The Wahoo bite was much slower today, but Dolphin fishing was better. Some Blackfin Tuna were caught as well. We need people for a Make Up Charter either Monday or Tuesday. Give us a call at 800-676-4939 if interested.

What a beautiful late summer day to spend on the water with family and friends! All inshore boats stayed busy today. Morning anglers had their hands full with great catches of Speckled Trout. The afternoon groups had fun with keeper Puppy Drum. One boat fished near shore and returned with a nice catch of Spanish Mackerel. Most of our offshore fleet headed out to the Gulf Stream today. Some boats returned early with limits of Wahoo. Overall, the Wahoo bite was excellent with a few Blackfin Tuna and some Dolphin thrown into the mix. Several anglers were real fortunate and released a Sailfish! Congratulations!!

Northeast winds made for much cooler temperatures today. Abundant sunshine helped to elevate everyone's mood after the past couple of windy, rainy days! Inshore boats made the best of it and returned from their morning trips with keeper Drum and over slot Red Drum (citations). Sting Rays provided a little extra excitement. This afternoon, fishing slowed down a little in the Pamlico Sound, however some Spanish Mackerel were caught in the ocean. No boats fished offshore, but they are gearing up to head out tomorrow after five consecutive days of staying onshore. Time to get back to fishing!

JohnPaul Todd of Arlington, VA: 49" Red Drum release on Adventure.

Mark Heath of Stuart, VA: 48" and 50" Red Drum releases on Adventure.

Northeast winds cooled things off early this morning, however it also churned up the water even more. Heavy rains are supposed to move into the area overnight. As of right now, no one expects to fish tomorrow.

Big seas kept all boats docked today. There is a pattern of weather that is going to make fishing difficult for the next few days, so keep posted and we'll let you know all the fishing news as soon as we get out again.

Overcast skies and choppy seas did not deter offshore anglers from going out today. Good Times released two Sailfish and Reliance released one. The Wahoo bite was fairly good for some and not so good for others. Blackfin Tuna produced a scattered catch and a few Dolphin made it into the mix. Inshore groups experienced a great Drum bite (keepers) all day! It was a slow bite from Speckled Trout and Spanish Mackerel was caught near shore. Clamming has become quite popular and is a wonderful way to spend time with family and/or friends. Give us a call at 800-676-4939 to book your water adventure before summer ends.

Our inshore fleet stayed busy again today. Catches of Bluefish, Spanish Mackerel, and keeper Drum kept parties reeling all day. Clamming trips and shelling trips made for some "happy campers" returning to the dock with some nice finds along with all the clams one can eat! One boat fished near shore this morning and returned with good catches of Bluefish and Spanish Mackerel. Hatteras Fever II and Lucky Chip released Sailfish offshore today. The Wahoo bite wasn't as good as yesterday, however some anglers lucked out with nice sized catches. Dolphin and Blackfin Tuna were mixed into the daily catch. The only way to catch a fish is to head out and wet a line. Give us a call 800-676-4939 and we'll hook you up!
