It has been a mild overcast winter day here in Hatteras. We are expecting some winter weather to arrive later this weekend. The service for Captain Berle Wilson has been moved to January 20, 2017 at 1 p.m. due to the forecast. It will be held at Evangelical Methodist Church in Elizabeth City. There is nothing to report on the fishing as no boats went out today.

Tuesday, January 03, 2017

Offshore and Inshore boats stayed at the dock today. Weather was rainy and overcast with temps in the 60's. We should see a drop in temperature the next few days. Check out the picture from a couple of days ago, the fish are still biting we just need some sponsors.

We are sad to start the New Year with the passing of Capt Berle Wilson. He fished from Hatteras Harbor Marina with his boat Good Times for many years and made a lot of Anglers dreams come true with that perfect day on the water. His son David Wilson carried on the tradition fishing with us here. We wish our condolences for the family and friends of a true waterman. Services will be Saturday Jan 7 at 1:00PM Evangelical Methodist Church in Elizabeth City, NC. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the EMC music program.

Saturday, December 24, 2016

We will be open until noon on Dec 24th and closed Dec 25-Jan 2, 2017. Thank you to all of our wonderful customers and anglers this season! We look forward to seeing you in the New Year may it be safe and prosperous for us all. From everyone at Hatteras Harbor Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Sunday, December 18, 2016

This mornings SW wind was blowing 20-25 kts and created 9 to 12' seas. We experienced fog (visibility was 1 NM or less) and rain. With a small craft advisory, all offshore boats stayed docked.  The temperature stayed around 70, and the wind laid just enough this afternoon for one inshore charter to go check out the Sound. Happy they did because they caught some nice Speckled Trout.
