Several boats fishing today. Weather was overcast from early afternoon on. Dolphin fishing was good, Wahoo and Blackfin Tuna were scattered. Bite Me and Hatteras Blue both released Sailfish. Inshore lots of nice size Bluefish, Nearshore Amberjack were being caught.

The offshore fleet fishing day started slow this morning and picked up in the afternoon. Charters returned to the dock with good catches of Dolphin, few Blackfin Tuna and the Wahoo bite was scattered. One Sailfish was released!

Inshore charters continue to catch Puppy Drum. Some nice catches of Spots too!

Today we had one inshore boat go out over the wrecks to catch Amberjack. We also had one charter that went clamming in the Pamlico Sound and they returned with a limit of clams.

Offshore charters returned with excellent catches of Dolphin. Wahoo catches were fair today and some Blackfin Tuna made it into the box. One Blue Marlin and several Sailfish were released. Good Times fought a Billfish for 3 1/2 hours before losing it during the last day of the Hatteras Grand Slam. To check out the final results, visit www.hatterasgrandslam.com.

With high temperatures like today , the best place to be in on the water.Red Drum fishing continues to be good in the Pamlico Sound. Flounder fishing was good today too.

It was a choppy ride offshore this morning,but the day turned out to be good for fishing. Dolphin fishing was good, with nice catches of bailers. Anglers also had good Blackfin Tuna catches. A Blue Marlin was boated during the Hatteras Grand Slam. Several Sailfish were released as well.

Anglers that fished inshore this morning experienced good Red Drum fishing, good Spot fishing, and they also caught some Blow Toads. This afternoon, The Red Drum bite was still on and they caught Spanish Mackerel as well.

Offshore anglers experienced good Dolphin fishing. They also had scattered Wahoo and Blackfin Tuna catches. The Billfish bite was on again today!

Great Billfishing!!!!! Native Son releases *GRAND SLAM* There were 11 Blue Marlin, 3 White Marlin and 9 Sailfish released in the hatteras fleet today, which is good cause meat fishing was a little "scrappy".  There was a little bit of everything caught but not a lot of any one species. 

Inshore boats had a great day "catching and releasing" Red Drum, most of the drum they were catching were just over the size limit, which is 27". Gray Trout and Bluefish were also caught on good numbers. Clamming was good also

Weather was breezy but not enough to deter the fishing fleet today. Most of the boats were out working the waters today. Depending on the direction they took they had either good to near limits of Dolphin or good Blackfin Tuna. There was an excellent Wahoo bite with some Sea Bass and Snappers. The Billfish were on and then off the hook with Bite Me releasing a Sailfish. Gambler releasing a Blue Marlin and 2 Sailfish. Godspeed released a Blue Marlin. Hatteras Fever released 2 White Marlin. Native Son, Patriot and Predator each released a Blue Marlin. Sea Creature released a Blue Marlin and a Sailfish.

Improved weather and several boats out fishing today. We are certainly glad to see all the people loading up and heading out in the morning. They caught bailer (smaller) and gaffer (larger) Dolphin. Wahoo fishing was good as well as Blackfin Tuna. Sailfish were on the prowl as well with Chaser releasing 3, Hatteras Fever released 1 and Sea Creature released a White Marlin. Inshore lots of nice Red Drum releases with a few keepers. Spanish Mackerel and Gray Trout were also biting inshore.

Hatteras Fever: Samantha Dunn of Chesner, SC released a Sailfish.

Sea Creature: Cassidy Richards of Crab Orchard, TN caught a 45lb Wahoo. Natasha McNeil of Crab Orchard, TN released a White Marlin.

The SW wind offshore calmed to a nice 10kts. Seas were 2-4 feet and produced good catches of Dolphin, bailers, gaffers and citation size!  The Wahoo bite was scattered, one weighed in at 47lbs! Two Sailfish were released!

One foot waves on the Sound stirred up lots of 30" Red Drum for the inshore anglers!

Happy Independence Day!!!

Strong SW winds and 5-7 ft. seas kept offshore boats at the dock today. A few inshore boats made it out and reported good Red Drum fishing. There's lots of 4th of July activities going on in Hatteras Village today, so come down and enjoy the festivities! Be safe in the pursuit of happiness!!
