Still a little windy here so there were no boats fishing today. We did have a inshore boat go out, they caught a few Red Drum both keeper and ones that were too big.

The 21st annual Hatteras Village Offshore Open starts tomorrow be sure to check out their Facebook page or website to see how your favorite boat is doing.www.hvoo.org

A group from the Greater Baltimore Model A Ford Club stop by the marina and had lunch at the deli today. I was waiting to see Bonnie and Clyde get out of one of them. They were visiting Hatteras Island while staying in Kitty Hawk.

Tropical storm Ana churned up the ocean off of Hatteras as well as sending torrential rains. The day stayed mostly overcast with brief periods of rain. Weather should be clearing up mid week so check back.

Sunday, May 10, 2015

Offshore captains were able to spend the day with their Moms and wives, as they did not fish due to the weather! big seas and rain kept those boats in today. A couple of inshore boats made the morning trip and reported slow fishing, with some Red Drum seen but not caught.

Tropical Storm Ana made a mess of our fishing here this weekend. The weather has not dampened our spirits and we are looking forward to better days later this week.

We are looking for several interested people to fill a Make-up Charter this week. Call 800-676-4939 for more information.

Tropical storm Ana dampened the weekend here on the island. Big seas kept offshore boats at dock today. Inshore boats fished the Pamlico Sound and returned with Red Drum. The weather is overcast and balmy, with scattered showers. Heavy rain is forecast for the rest of the weekend.

We offer inshore, near shore, and offshore fishing trips. We also offer make-up charters for $260/person. Call 800-676-4939 for more details.

What a beautiful day to live on an island! Brilliant sunshine and east winds make for some great beach experiences. The Pamlico Sound was the place to spend the afternoon catching limits of Red Drum. Anglers that went offshore had good catches of Dolphin and a few Yellowfin Tuna.

Subtropical storm Ana is well to the south of us as of today.
