Activity has picked up on Hatteras Island now that Spring has arrived! Several offshore boats went out today and came back with several Yellowfin Tuna and a few Blackfin Tuna. Inshore boats reported good Red Drum fishing in the Pamlico Sound. Anglers spotted a seal chasing some Red Drum through in shallow water in the Sound. How exciting that had to be!

We are receiving new merchandise in the Ship's Store everyday. Come by and see the latest T-shirts and gifts that are arriving daily!

Here's Kim Mu's 320 pound Bluefin Tuna he landed on Friday!

Saturday, March 14, 2015

Big seas and rainy conditions kept anglers onshore today. We are hoping for a break tomorrow and even warmer weather beginning next week. Everyone here is anxious to get back to a daily routine after the extreme weather this winter. Think SPRING!!

Friday, March 13, 2015

We had a handful of offshore boats out today. Two boats landed Bluefin Tuna with several more bites reported. The Yellowfin Tuna bite was good today and believe it or not, a few gaffer Dolphin were caught. Not too shabby for Friday the 13th. Tired of being snowed in? Head south and come fishing! Call us at 800-676-4939 and book a inshore or offshore trip.

Good Times: Kim Mu of Texafly, NJ caught a 320lb Bluefin Tuna.

We stayed fogged in most of the day and there were no boats fishing

Tuesday, March 10, 2015

I'd have to say it was a beautiful day, slick calm on the sound most of the day. We had a few boats out, 2 were bottom fishing and really had a great day. They unloaded 80 trigger fish, 16 tilefish, 6 amberjack and 1 grouper. One of the boats was fishing for bluefin tuna, saw quite a few but didn't catch any. They said there were some caught on top water jigs.  We're booking charters for the spring and the rooms are starting to fill up for the weekends, so if you don't want to miss out give us a call at 1-800-676-4939 to reserve yours today.
