The wind continued throughout the morning, but it finally quieted down this afternoon. Several offshore boats ventured out today, but it was a slow day of fishing. Some King Mackerel took the bait, as well as a couple of Dolphin and Wahoo. Bottom fishing was better with a limit of Tilefish and some Amberjack. Inshore captains reported slow conditions this afternoon as well. They caught a few Bluefish and Speckled Trout. Perhaps tomorrow will bring better fishing - it's supposed to be a beautiful day!

Citations:

Ronnie Kinsel of Chesapeake, VA: 40 lb. Wahoo on Godspeed.

We had a couple of boats head offshore today, it was a little choppy but they did catch a few King Mackerel. The wind should start falling out tomorrow afternoon to make way for a nice weekend.

There were no boats fishing inshore.

Jens Ebsen of Willingen, D: 34 lb. King Mackerel on Good Times.

Gordon Birkhimer of Falls Church, VA: 34 lb. King Mackerel on Release.

There are no fish to report this afternoon. Gusty, northwest winds with seas 6 to 9 feet kept everyone onshore. It was probably too cold and blustery to even enjoy the beach. This front will continue through tomorrow morning and then it is supposed to calm down for the weekend.

Come by and check out our sale in the Ship's Store. We have rain gear and sweatshirts, as well as lots of gift ideas.
